We started and maintain recycling plastic trash collections along our treks, on the beach and in other villages in Bali. At Sepeda Bali, we care about our planet and want to reduce plastic in Bali. By choosing to cycle with us, you are choosing to help Mother Earth. Each tour helps to fund our cycling recycling project, enabling us to educate the local villagers, from the elders to the children and contributes to a cleaner Bali.
Indonesia now has the highest rate of deforestation of any country in the world. A quarter of Indonesia's forests have been destroyed in the last 25 years alone. Knowing that fact, Sepeda Bali officially be one of a sponsor and partner for a super cool project called TRI Handkerchiefs who try to stop deforestation.
Started in June 2016 by Ben Fijal, a grade 9th student at Green School School Bali, TRI began by making handkerchiefs as an alternative to tissue paper. Now TRI Handkerchiefs has established itself as a social enterprise aiming to inform the world about deforestation while supporting grass roots organizations doing critical work on the ground to protect Indonesia’s peat land forests, the lungs of our Earth.
